FAQs

  • Seller selects a listing option and makes payment, if required. All pictures and listings are viewed in order to ensure BidMoto’s standards and requirements are met.
  • Once BidMoto is satisfied with the submission, BidMoto works with the seller to confirm the details of the vehicle being sold are accurate. The listing will go live in 3 – 5 business days following full approval from BidMoto. The item will be ‘live’ for 7 days.
  • Bidders will have a 5% hold placed on their credit card, based on their initial bid. All unsuccessful holds will be released once the auction ends. The winning bidder pays 5% of their final bid (min of $50 and maximum of $300) to BidMoto. This fee will be acquired once all bidding is complete.

  • To discourage sniping, all auctions will be extended by 2 minutes after the final bid has been placed.
  • Once the auction closes and a deal has been made, BidMoto will share the seller’s information with the buyer. Full Payment and delivery is then arranged between the two parties, separate from BidMoto.

  • Unless otherwise specified, buyers are responsible for any shipping or transportation costs.
  •
  • Please note that if a motorcycle for auction has been supplied by a dealer, the dealer has the right to sell the motorcycle in store during the bidding process. If the motorcycle sells through the dealer, all bids via BidMoto will be void and the motorcycle will be removed from auction. No fees will be charged to the bidder.

BidMoto is your prime destination for motorcycle auctions with a community-driven editorial touch. BidMoto was created by people with a passion for motorcycles who saw a need for a more interactive, secure and private platform for buying and selling.

  • At a minimum, photos need to include: both sides of the motorcycle, front of the motorcycle, back of the vehicle and an image of mileage (5 photos). However, BidMoto strongly suggests additional photos of areas you wish to highlight. Examples could be tire wear, aftermarket add-ons or any damaged areas that should be disclosed.

  • When shooting the side of the motorcycle, ensure the camera is approximately 15 feet away and zoom in. Crouch down and attempt to shoot from as straight on as possible, avoid taking shots from above or below.

  • If possible, have the vehicle 10 feet away from any backdrop (wall, fence, garage door etc.)

  • If the motorcycle needs to be leaned against a backdrop, try to choose a solid color like white or black.

  • Please make sure the motorcycle is clean and do your best to take photos in natural light.

Why not? The advantages of buying a motorcycle through an auction: cost savings for potential buyers, sellers can make more money than through a private sale, it’s a good way to connect with members of the motorcycle community, PLUS it’s fun and exciting!

A reserve price represents the lowest offer a seller would entertain from a buyer. Usually sellers aren’t obligated to reveal this minimum price to prospective buyers. Should the reserve price not be met, the seller retains the option of declining the sale, even if the highest bid is submitted.

None of the motorcycles are broken or for parts; all motorcycles are in working order to be posted on the auction
